Ingredients:
3-4 lbs pork shoulder or pork butt 3 tbsp Crafted Flavors BBQ RUB 1 cup barbecue sauce (your choice) 1 tbsp olive oil 1 large onion, sliced 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup chicken broth or apple cider Salt and pepper to taste Buns or rolls for serving Instructions: Prepare the Pork: Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Generously rub the Brand Dry Rub all over the pork, ensuring it's well-coated. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors penetrate the meat. Sear the Meat: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork shoulder and sear on all sides until it develops a nice crust, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat. Slow Cook: Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of a slow cooker. Lay the seared pork on top and pour the chicken broth or apple cider around it. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart. Shred the Pork: Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the cooking juices. Add Barbecue Sauce: Stir in the barbecue sauce and let it simmer for an additional 30 minutes on low, allowing the flavors to meld together. Serve the pulled pork on buns or rolls, topped with additional barbecue sauce if desired. Enjoy with coleslaw or your favorite side dishes! This delicious pulled BBQ is perfect for family gatherings, picnics, or any casual dining experience. Enjoy your flavorful creation! |
